About Me
I’m Yolande, but please call me Yolly. I am dedicated to providing compassionate, effective therapy tailored to your unique needs. With a background in psychology and management, and over 20 years of experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges, I am here to help you navigate your journey toward well-being. My personal experiences—leaving my home country, surviving profound losses, and discovering late neurodiversity diagnoses—have deepened my empathy and understanding of life’s complexities. I cherish the gift of being alive, and I am here to listen to your story and explore how I can support you.
As a qualified mental health specialist, bereavement counsellor, and CBT therapist, I work with a wide range of issues, including grief, anxiety, depression, trauma (PTSD), stress, ADHD, autism, anger, repetitive behavior, Borderline Personality Disorder, and relationship challenges. I follow the ethical frameworks of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), and the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT). I accept private insurance, including Aviva, Vitality Health, and Alliance Insurance, and have volunteered with Macmillan Cancer Support and Age UK.
My approach is pluralistic, meaning I draw from a range of therapeutic methods to tailor each session to your unique needs and goals. I also provide clinical and trainee supervision, supporting fellow therapists in their professional development and ethical practice.
I offer a safe, multicultural, and person-centred space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly and without judgment. Therapy sessions are available in English and French, with conversational support in Romanian and Italian, making my services accessible to a diverse range of clients.
